To compare China with Mesopotamia and the task of divining the future, whether in the pyromancy, sortilege of yarrow stalks of China, liver samples in Syria, or Greek emperors sacrificing animals until they get the answer they want, over and over, beyond the three dove, three sheep limit, whether an emperor should fight or not, or Yeats should go to the dentist, the desire to act rightly is extracted from the man who does not know what to do. Naked Angel. Naked Man.

Human consciousness, deep seeded with the  fallen mythology of  angels in their heroic journeys of disobedience, has been possessed by a series of corruptions of men and women in war and seduction, magic and power to further bring them under this spell, which worked so well that human dreams were  thoroughly tainted with the seeding betrayed, like the earth regent myths of old men of the golden age.

For one who does not believe in the unconscious it would seem difficult to explore, but we explore nothingness as well. It does little good to believe there is an impermeable wall like a closed garden around an unconscious individual that walls in its fears anxieties, hopes where everything else forgotten. We might hope these memories exclusive to our selves, but they affect every human being. A collective unconsciousness where hidden, rejected, experiences are shared without our knowing, as if everyone could read our own unconsciousness, but we ourselves cannot, is what fortune tellers and divination lives on. The collective uncon figured in myth and in art depicts a fallen public psyche, but always know this is a substitute for the real. It stands in place of the real the way paradise stands in place of Eden.

So what is the real?  Now you ask1 

Explorations of the collective uncon believed to occur in allegory and adventure like the Odyssey, where the voyager continually confronts ogres and dangers the modern analyst says are his own, or if not his, our own, are infested with egregori and a host of beings of the ether which offer great power and interest, but whose outcome is collective delusion. A man who spreads himself across the bed of this unconscious denies his true nature.
